nesea joins SDA Bocconi's Sustainability Monitor

We are pleased to announce that nesea has officially joined the Sustainability Monitor (Sustainable Operations & Supply Chain) of the SDA Bocconi School of Management. SOSC is an initiative dedicated to research and education on sustainable operations and supply chains. Using scientific methodologies, the Monitor provides companies with practical tools to integrate sustainability into global operations, promoting environmental responsibility, innovation and collaboration to achieve sustainable development goals. The project focuses on waste reduction, responsible use of resources and mitigation of environmental impacts, ensuring a transparent and accessible approach to the knowledge acquired.

Importance of Participation in the Sustainability Monitor for nesea

nesea has chosen to join the SDA Bocconi SOSC Monitor, recognizing sustainability as a key element in its corporate strategy. Today, sustainability is no longer an option, but a necessity to be assessed and integrated 360° both within the company and in the entire ecosystem of partners and collaborators. This holistic approach is essential to build a better and more sustainable future.

Furthermore, participating in the SOSC Monitor will facilitate a continuous exchange of knowledge and sustainable practices with the other members of the monitor: Angelini Industries, DNV, Edison, E&Y, Evoca Group, Merck, Fercam, Prologis, Riva&Mariani, Spinosi Marketing and Salov. To delve deeper into the motivations behind this strategic choice, we interviewed our General Manager, Antonio Passarelli.

Why is it important for nesea to participate in the SOSC Monitor?

“Participating in the SOSC Monitor is of fundamental importance for nesea, as it allows us to access advanced resources and high-level research projects in the field of practices. ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance). This collaboration strengthens our ability to provide sustainable and innovative solutions to our customers, allowing us to align ourselves with international best practices in sustainability and consolidate our commitment to a more responsible and sustainable future.”

For which current nesea projects is participation in the sustainability monitor important?

We are currently working on several projects that will benefit greatly from this participation. A concrete example of this commitment is a project we are developing in the Agritech field, which represents a turning point in agricultural innovation. The project represents our vision for a smarter, more sustainable and productive table viticulture, which involves the creation of a Expert System for the Management and Monitoring of Vineyards for the cultivation of table grapes. Its realization not only poses nesea at the forefront of agricultural innovation, but also underscores our dedication to supporting producers in their transition to more sustainable and efficient practices.”
